WHO: Actress, Sarah Hyland

INSPIRATION: For Sarah’s three looks tonight, we wanted to do something sleek and pulled back, so it did not compete with her outfit changes. We started with a style that could then easily work into another and then transitioned to more elevated styles as the night progressed.

LOOK 1: We started by prepping Sarah’s hair by towel drying it to prevent frizz. Sarah has been growing out her hair, so we needed to ensure that we protected it against humidity and heat styling. I used the CarboSilk High Quality Professional Comb to evenly distribute a heat protectant.

Next, I used the NanoThermic Ceramic + Ion 1 ¾” Round Thermal Brush to brush through Sarah’s strands creating smoothness throughout. I then sectioned her hair into 1" sections and began to blow dry using the Ceramic + Ion High Performance Professional Hair Dryer aiming the dryer down to create a smooth, sleek finish.

To polish Sarah’s hair, I used the Titanium + Ion High Performance Professional Flat Iron and ran through small sections, leading through with a comb.

To finish off the look, I sprayed a finishing shine mist onto the Smooth & Shine Styler OG Brush and brushed her hair into a low ponytail, securing it with an elastic. Once the ponytail was positioned tightly, I ran the flat iron through it to ensure sleekness.

LOOK 2: For the second look, I started by applying a sculpting gel to my palm and braided Sarah’s low ponytail from her first look.

Next, I twisted the braid into a low bun at the base of her head and secured it tightly with a few bobby pins. To create even more of a polished look, I gently spritzed a shine spray which created an elegant finish.

LOOK 3: For the last look, I removed Sarah’s low braided bun so that her hair was completely down. I then applied the Titanium + Ion High Performance Professional Flat Iron directly onto her hair and began to straighten it while using the Smooth & Shine Styler OG Brush to smooth down any flyaways. Since we wanted to maintain the sleek vibes, I finished off the look by tucking both sides of her hair behind her ears and secured them with a bobby pin. Lastly, I sprayed a generous amount of hairspray to keep hair in place the rest of the night.
